The bald cap was so convincing that people were actually convinced that host Pat Sajak wore a hair piece. Even eternally youthful co-host Vanna White was taken aback by the revelation. But it was a gag. Sajak explained it about a month later.

It's usually the host doing the pranking, so it's hilarious when host John Davidson is being gagged. It took quite a bit of setup. First, the returning champion had to be replaced with a stunt man.
When the game starts, the male contestant takes a sneak peak off of the hosts card. The female contestant calls him out and during the ensuing argument, pushes him off the stage. Davidson, the host, is completely baffled, until the female whispers "April Fools."

Some may think that Drew Carey lost his touch when he took over the Price is Right. But when he cuts loose, it can be so good. Trans-rebounder? Boguslovania? I love the look on the contestants face when she's asked to make a bid.
